LinkProver is a simple way of checking that all the links in your web pages actually work (i.e. that when you have linked to another page or to an image, that page or image really exists). LinkProver can work in two main ways - it can check the files on your hard disk before you upload them to your web site, or it can check the files once they have been uploaded onto the internet. In most cases you will want to do both checks initially, and then check the on-line site at regular intervals.
